Cocoa High School Launches Auto Collision Program
Staff Report / MelbourneLocal.org
**Cocoa High School Offers Specialized Automotive Collision Technology Program**
Cocoa High School is equipping students with specialized skills through its Automotive Collision Technology Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program. This program focuses on teaching students the essentials of vehicle repair after accidents, including frame repairs, paint refinishing, and adherence to safety protocols.
This program differs from standard auto maintenance training by concentrating specifically on collision repair, a niche yet vital area within the automotive industry. Students participating in this program gain hands-on experience and industry-recognized certifications, setting them up for success in a growing field.
As part of the February celebration of Career and Technical Education Month (#CTEMonth), the Automotive Collision Technology program is being acknowledged for its role in preparing students with practical skills needed in the workforce. This initiative underlines Brevard Public Schools' commitment to providing varied educational opportunities tailored to unique career pathways.
Cocoa High School students, often referred to as Tigers, are receiving a head start in their careers through this program, showcasing their talents and building a foundation for future success.
Stay tuned for more updates on Career & Technical Education programs throughout Brevard Public Schools.
