**John F. Kennedy Middle School Hosts 26th Annual Medieval Festival**
John F. Kennedy Middle School delighted attendees with a captivating step back in time during their 26th annual Medieval Festival. Under the leadership of educator Barbara Sweeney, who has guided the event for over two decades, the festival featured an array of historical and interactive activities that immersed visitors in the Middle Ages.
The festival included a guided tour with engaging performances, showcasing medieval settings such as a Plague Cemetery. Guests also experienced a fully interactive medieval village titled "Castle Kennedy," created and performed by the middle school students.
In preparation for the event, students studied medieval history, including Arthurian legend and alchemy. They also designed their own coats of arms, leaning into the event's educational and creative aspects. Staff from the school's Cambridge program collaborated to help bring the festival to life.
The event was celebrated for its colorful art, interactive activities, and food, making it an unforgettable experience for all.
The Medieval Festival has become a cherished tradition at John F. Kennedy Middle School, bringing history to life for the community with creativity, education, and fun.
