Furthermore, the continents of Asia and Europe each have electors from 18 countries in the conclave, while Africa is represented by electors from 17 countries.

Overall, the College of Cardinals represents cardinals from 95 countries. The oldest member is Cardinal Angelo Acerbi, who will celebrate his 100th birthday on September 23. The youngest member is Cardinal Mykola Bychok, the Eparchial Bishop of Saints Peter and Paul of Melbourne of the Ukrainians, who was born in February 1980.
