Astronaut Allen Hosts Skyward Virtual Mentorship
On September 11, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM EDT, the Astronauts Memorial Foundation and the Embraer Foundation will host the second Skyward Careers Virtual Mentorship Event. The one-hour mentorship session will include a Q&A with retired NASA astronaut Andrew Allen, who now serves as CEO of Aerodyne Industries. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about his experiences in aviation, aerospace, and STEM careers.
In addition to the discussion with Andrew Allen, the event will feature small breakout sessions led by 20 mentors from various departments within the aerospace industry, including representatives from Embraer, a global aerospace company based in Melbourne, Florida. The breakout sessions are intended to provide career insights and mentorship for students interested in aerospace, aviation, or engineering.
The event is open to high school, Career and Technical Education (CTE), and college students. Interested students are encouraged to register using the provided link.
Further Skyward Careers virtual events and a related ceremony at Kennedy Space Center are scheduled for 2026.
