The City of Melbourne, Florida, has issued guidance regarding the cleanup process following recent hurricanes. Residents are encouraged to place vegetative debris that fits into a container into the appropriate bins for regular collection service. This will help streamline the pickup process.

For larger piles of vegetation, disaster recovery contractors will be handling the collection. However, this may take longer than the usual weekly service due to high demand for these contractors, as many communities are experiencing significant storm damage.

The start date for the additional debris collection service will be announced soon. Residents are advised to separate vegetative debris, such as leaves and branches, from other types of storm debris like fencing, furniture, and construction materials.

The City expresses appreciation for the cooperation and patience of its residents during this cleanup effort.
